Everything families need to know before joining — and after.
Enrollment & Eligibility
PCYO is open to school-age youth through high school. We are primarily a string orchestra — violin, viola, cello, and bass — but all instruments are welcome. Students from any school, homeschool background, or private studio can join.
Yes. PCYO uses requires assessements for violin, viola, cello, and double bass sections. These are used to determine seating position and complexity of music assigned to your student. The entry standard is intentionally low, as we want to give every musician a chance to play with us.
Adult musicians can participate as volunteer mentors, playing alongside students to strengthen the ensemble. If you're interested in mentoring, reach out to us.
Contact us and we'll walk you through enrollment, assessments, and getting started. See the Join Us page for more details.
Tuition & Cost
Tuition is per semester for the first student, plus per semester for each additional student from the same family.
Yes, our music director, Rachel Cole, is a PEP provider, so PEP-enrolled students students can have tuition covered without any out-of-pocket cost to parents. Contact us for details on how to apply your PEP funds.
